About Our Studio

You bend.  You sweat.  You breathe.  You feel great. Why?  That is just part of the magic.  In truth there is more to yoga than meets the eye.

While promoting physical fitness, weight loss, greater health and vitality, Yoga equally emphasizes bringing your mind to a state of peace, clarity, and oneness.  In fact, Yoga, a  Sanskrit word meaning "yoke" or "union dates back 5,000 years to its origins in India.

Benefits extend well beyond the conventional stretching-based exercises commonly practiced in this country, to providing a sense of well-being that touches every aspect of our lives.  It gives us strength and clarity to deal with any of life's daily challenges.  Kernersville Yoga Center is your guide in this transformation.

The practice of yoga can take many forms, ranging from serene meditation to an intense athletic workout.  Yoga offers something for everyone.  At Kernersville Yoga Center, each class is designed to simultaneously build strength and flexibility as well as inspire peace and tranquility.

Classes focus on your unique needs and goals.  We will work through a series of postures, called asanas, which can be performed sitting, standing, or lying, concentrating on alignment and breathing.  At KYC, we do not pressure students to achieve a particlular pose and there is no competition.

With our small classes, expert individualized training, and unique yet classical approach to Hatha Yoga, you will enjoy your transforming experience in the complete science and application of yoga. You will learn the essentials of safe technique, which will enable you to continue your practice at home. We adapt each postures to your own level of flexibility, while you explore the spiritual dimension of the pranayama/meditation connection.

All classes on our schedule are on-going; there's no need to pre-register or call ahead.
